Vin Diesel and girlfriend, Paloma Jimenez, welcomed their third child together on Monday, March 16. The following Monday, Diesel announced that the couple named their new addition Pauline in honor of his late best friend and co-star of the Fast and Furious franchise, Paul Walker.
Walker’s life was tragically cut short after a car accident on November 2013 while the 38 year old was on the way to an event for his charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
Diesel shared about the delivery, “He was in the room. There’s no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord. I just … knew he was there.”
Furious 7 is set to hit theaters April 3 and will feature the last footage of not only Walker and Diesel together, but unfortunately the very last footage of Walker. Completing the filming for the movie was an emotionally arduous task for the cast, but Walker’s family not only gave Universal Studios their blessing to finish the film- Walker’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, assisted as stand-ins.
